KIDS SQUEALING, laughing, throwing things and completely squashing me . . . ? Aaaagggghhhh . . . it was crazy!!

I found myself in some pretty hairy situations during my first few years (yes, you read that correctly . . . I said YEARS, not days or weeks).

I tried heaps of things in my French sessions- everything that came into my mind, and I got into some crazy situations.

Getting the kids tooooo excited and wound up was my default error . . .

They'd be laughing so much that they'd be squealing uncontrollably.

Or throwing balls all over the place.

Or once I even had 10 children piling on top of me until I couldn't move and they couldn't hear me speak . . .

and the session was being observed by a guest!!

I've had children constantly knocking over my colourful tower game,

throwing my resources around, running around in noisy circles while waiting to begin;

you name it, I've probably been in the situation!

And you know what? I SURVIVED.

Yep.

And the KIDS SURVIVED.

And I turned up again next time, and kept on turning up.

And I figured it all out as I went along.

And now I have it all under control.

I know when and how to get them laughing.

I know when and how to calm them down.

I know exactly what to say, how to phrase my words, so that everything runs beautifully.

I know how to create a vibrant, dynamic ambiance, and how to create a delightful, calm, observant ambiance.

I know when to allow the crazy to exist and just enjoy it

I know when to make it stop.

AND YOU WILL, TOO.

But only if you start.

And mess up.

And figure stuff out.

And GUESS WHAT?

The children, the parents, the staff . . . they love it and love you ANYWAY.

Because what you're creating is something amazing.

But you'll never have the joy of experiencing ALL OF THAT if you

don't just start.

Believe it or not . . . YOU'VE GOT THIS!!

Find your voice. Be your voice. You'll survive.
